Botanical Gardens at Asheville

The Botanical Gardens at Asheville is a 10-acre independent, non-profit botanical gardens dedicated
to the study and promotion of the native plants and habitats of the Southern Appalachians.

Admission & Parking

We have free admission and parking.
However, in order to operate, we encourage donations and membership.

“My Little Walden,” Interview with Jay Kranyik, The Laurel of Asheville
Jay’s “own little Walden” is the Asheville Botanical Gardens where he plants seedlings and prunes bushes.  He also fixes the plumbing, cleans up graffiti, does paperwork, and conducts tours – all part of a day’s work as manager of the garden.
